Bayer midfielder Florian Wirtz has extended his contract with the “pharmacists”, reports Kicker.
According to the source, the 21-year-old midfielder extended the contract with the German club for one more year – until 2027. The former contract between the club and the player was valid until 2026.
Wirtz will become Bayer’s highest-paid footballer. His salary will be more than 10 million euros per year, but significantly less than 20 million.
This season, Florian Wirtz played 17 matches for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring seven goals and providing two assists.
