Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has admitted that 12 years ago he could have become a Manchester United player when he played for Borussia Dortmund.
“I said yes to Manchester United in 2012. I remember that conversation with Sir Alex Ferguson… He couldn’t be refused. But Borussia Dortmund decided to reject the offer,” Lewandowski said in an interview with Rio Ferdinand .
In the current season, Robert Lewandowski played 17 matches for Barcelona, in which he scored 19 goals and provided 2 assists.
The contract of the 36-year-old Pole with the “Blaugranas” expires in the summer of 2026.
