Dutch specialist Ruud van Nistelrooy said goodbye to Manchester United fans. He published a farewell post on the Instagram social network.

“To everyone at Manchester United, especially the staff, players and fans, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your incredible efforts and support.

It has been a privilege and an honor to represent the club as a player, assistant and head coach and I will always cherish the memories we have shared together.

Manchester United will always hold a special place in my heart and I hope there are many more glorious days at Old Trafford soon – not only because I want the club to succeed, but because you all deserve it!
