According to the source, the 50-year-old Italian is the main candidate for the vacant position recently vacated by Ivan Yurich.
It is also noted that the option with Montella will be available if the Wolves agree to pay the Turkish federation compensation in the amount of six months of the specialist’s salary.
Montella has been leading the Turkish national team since last September. He also coached Adana Demirspor, Roma, Fulham, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Milan and Sevilla.
In addition to Vincenzo, Roma have several other candidates, including Roberto Mancini.
After 12 rounds, Roma is only in 13th place in Serie A.
