Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz has been named the player of the week in the Champions League. This is reported by the official website of UEFA.
The 21-year-old German scored two goals against Feyenoord (4:0) in the first round of the Champions League.
Wirtz surpassed Bayern striker Harry Kane (four goals against Dinamo Zagreb), Borussia D forward Jamie Byno-Gittens (double against Club Brugge) and Atletico leader Antoine Griezmann (goal+assist against RB Leipzig).
