The singer took to Instagram to share the news, uploading a slew of snaps with her newborn daughter and admitting she had gone though ‘rough times’.

‘Born 23.05.25 at 10:11am weighing a little chunky 8.12lbs. 9 months of carrying you Pearl and being in our little pregnancy bubble. Now you are finally here.’

‘I cannot thank all the midwife’s, nurses and consultants at James Cook hospital enough for looking after us both. I’ll forever be grateful.
‘Baby Pearl, you have made all our dreams come true.’
Last year, she announced her engagement to fiancé Eddie McQueen, sharing on Instagram: ‘MRS MCQUEEN TO BE!’
It is not know when the couple first got together, but Eddie first appeared on Amelia’s Instagram page in September 2023.
The singer found fame when she appeared on the ITV talent show X Factor in 2011.
Amelia finished in third place, while she was also a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017 and was in a romance with I’m A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson.
While never fully leaving her music career, she also joined Geordie Shore in 2020 but left after two series.
Last summer, Amelia was forced to pull out of the Sunderland Food and Drink Festival after she was urgently rushed to hospital.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, she informed followers that she was ‘severely unwell’ and would be unable to attend the festival.
Amelia – who is diabetic – shared a snap of herself in the hospital on a ward hooked up to a drip, and revealed she was ‘gutted’ to cancel the upcoming scheduled gig in Sunderland.
She penned: ‘Hello everyone, after a really tough week of being severely unwell, I have never felt like this in my life.
‘I have been admitted into hospital with an underlying infection. I am so sorry that I won’t be able to perform tomorrow evening at the @sunderlandfooddrinkfest.
‘I love performing and am absolutely gutted I can’t be there tomorrow but I know I’m in the best place.’
Amelia finished up adding: ‘You have got the wonderfully talented @geoffmullmusic performing at 6pm for you tomorrow. Will keep you all posted lots of love Amelia x.’
The day after she gave further health updates, reassuring fans she finally had her test results and was discharged from the hospital.
Amelia was diagnosed with diabetes when she was just three-years-old and revealed during her time on X Factor that her condition is very serious.
