It was called an artistic manifesto to honor and unite the soldiers of the Ground Forces.

The Ukrainian platform Cultural Forces released the music album “Without Fear” for the Day of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is celebrated on December 12.

Most of the songs were created by musicians with combat experience, and the compositions themselves are dedicated to specific combat brigades. For example, the musician and producer Sasha Chemerov wrote a song for the 72nd brigade named after the Black Zaporozhets, using the unit’s motto “Ukraine or death”. And the infantryman Yan Shipula wrote music for the 53rd OMbr named after Volodymyr Monomakh to the poem “Monomakh” by Oleksandr Oles.

In total, the album “Without Fear” has nine compositions. Jan Shipula, a member of the Cultural Forces who previously served in the 53rd Brigade, describes it as follows:

“These songs were written both for my brothers and sisters. I wrote the song about Monomakh based on a poem by Oleksandr Oles back during the battles for Bakhmut. This poem vividly shows the prince as a warrior and an effective manager. In our times, he would definitely be a combat commander at the front and would have unshakable authority among the soldiers.”

Singer and musician Myroslav Kuvaldin recalls that he wrote the track “Iron Spirit” back in 2014, when he went to the front as a volunteer. According to him, “Russian rock” was among the popular military songs at that time, so he wanted to create a Ukrainian song about soldiers.

“I wrote the song in one night. And now we re-recorded it in a new arrangement specifically for the album “Without Fear”. After all, this song is not only about the 24th brigade, but about all the iron brigades that go to victory. I think that this song will resonate with many units of the Ground Forces,” Kuvaldin added.

Cultural forces call the album an artistic manifesto to honor and unite the soldiers of the Ground Forces on the day of their professional holiday. You can listen to it on the Cultural Forces Music channel. The following songs were included in the tracklist:

  • Ground Armed Forces – Grim & Cultural Forces (words – Vitaly Grim, music – Pat Sevenspruf)
  • Without fear (dedication to the 33rd OMBr) – Woin Kloc & Cultural forces (words and music – Oleksandr Remez)
  • Tribe – REMEZ, Mykolay Serga, Karrabuss & Cultural Landing (words and music – Oleksandr Remez, Maksym Bondarchuk, Mykolay Serga)
  • Monomakh (dedication of 53 OMBr) – Yan Shipula & Cultural forces (words – Oleksandr Oles, music – Yan Shipula, Andriy Martynenko)
  • Ukraine or death (dedication to the 72nd OMBr) – Cultural forces and the 72nd brigade (words and music – Sasha Chemerov)
  • Chronicles of a combat medic – Dr. Spark (words – Serhiy Savitsky, Maryna Magiya, music – Andriy Andriychuk)
  • Ground troops – Tour & Cultural Landing (words – Artur Lab’yak, music – Oleg Fedosov)
  • Beat the enemy – Trench Orderly (words and music – Trench Orderly)
  • The iron spirit (dedication to the 24th OMBr) – Myroslav Kuvaldin & Instrumental and dugout chanson ensemble (words and music – Myroslav Kuvaldin)

Also, for the Day of the Ground Forces, a commemorative sign “Ground Forces” was installed on Defender’s Alley in Kyiv – in honor of those who hold the front, and in eternal respect to those who have been in the army forever.

“The ground forces unite various units – from assault units to army aviation. Thanks to their coordinated work, this type of troops is the most numerous and powerful in the Armed Forces. That is why the memorial sign depicts four swords – a symbol of strength, knightly honor and the continuity of generations. Uniting in the center, they break through the enemy line – this is a metaphor for the unity of all units acting together for victory. The sign was established at the initiative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Command of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, KMVA and the Cultural Forces,” the message says.

In addition, from the morning of Ground Forces Day, a dedication video from the Cultural Forces is in rotation on TV channels.
