It is no secret that before the full-scale invasion of the band “Dance on the Maidan Congo” went with concerts to the aggressor country. Even then, according to Fagot, their superior attitude towards Ukrainians was felt.
“Of course, it was felt that Ukrainians and Russians were not to take. We went a lot to the festival, gave solo and club concerts, corporate events. It was enough. There was always a pressing: passport controls, police raids, mandatory registration.
The singer also mentioned that colleagues from the Russian Federation were very annoyed when they heard the Ukrainian language nearby.
“Even in a circle of acquaintances: you sit at the table, you speak Russian-everything is normal. But it was worth hearing Ukrainian, switching to it as they changed your face immediately. I remember the situation: we went hunting for Kostroma with friends, sitting at the table-I ward the phone, and I said in a few minutes. “Talk Russian or Diek”, which were written on the walls of Bucha – it is not a coincidence.
