The weight of the FP-5 battle part is twice the average among the available cruise missiles.
FP -5 is able to attack targets up to 3000 km / photo – Milan GroupAt the IDEX-2025 exhibition, Milanion Group, which, in particular, supplies weapons to Ukraine, has presented its new development-a long-range winged FP-5 rocket. It allows you to strike the deep rear of the enemy with a combat part weighing 1000 kg, writes Defense Express.
It is noted that the weight of the FP-5 combat part is twice the average among the available cruise missiles. For example, in American Tomahawk it is 450 kg. Moreover, the new rocket has a flight range up to 3000 km.
The publication emphasized that the starting weight of the FP-5 is 6 tons, and the scope of the fixed wing reaches 6 meters. Also, the winged rocket has a declared cruising speed of 850-900 km/h, and time in the air – up to 4 hours.
In addition, a targeting system that works with satellite navigation is provided. Despite this, the FP-5 has a fairly simple design, added in the edition. The wing is not composed, and the launch is made from the guide, not the transport-pusher container.
The publication also drew attention to the fact that the preparation for launching FP-5 is long compared to other similar cruise missiles. It takes 20 to 40 minutes. However, Milan Group said they can produce more than 50 such missiles on a monthly basis.
The publication believes that FP-5 can be equipped with a turbojet engine. Because of this, the question arises as to where to get so many powerful engines.
The publication reminded that Milan Group mostly specializes in drones. In 2021, the company demonstrated its land platform Agema 8×8 in Ukraine and entered into a cooperation agreement with the Ukrainian armored vehicles.
