On Thursday, the 62-year-old actor was on the red carpet for the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning premiere when he bumped into one of his co-stars from the 1996 romantic comedy.
Photos from the event reveal Tom caught up with Cuba Gooding Jr, 57, as they arrived at the screening.
They both looked pleasantly surprise when they noticed each other, beaming before they shared an embrace.
Tom and Cuba looked to be deep in conversation during the brief reunion, both dressed sharply in black suits.
The duo – who also worked together on 1992 legal drama A Few Good Men – starred together in the classic rom-com, with Tom playing the titular sports agent.

They were at the premiere for the final Mission: Impossible film (Picture: Lionel Hahn/Getty Images) The Hollywood star looked to be in great spirits on Wednesday as the final Mission: Impossible movie launched at Cannes.
The premiere had everything you’d expect, from fireworks and standing ovations to a boatload of stunts.
Response to the film so far has been mixed, with critics admitting much of the film is a slog, although they’ve also been quick to point out that Tom’s craziest stunts yet are worth the watch.
Despite its issues, film still manages to have an impressive 86% average score from 99 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

In the movie, Tom’s sports agent Jerry feels like ‘something just isn’t right’, and soon gets fired following a company-wide email inspired by a moral epiphany.
Setting up his own agency, he took NFL star Rod Tidwell (Cuba) with him, along with his coworker and love interested Dorothy Boyd, who was played by Renee Zellweger.

The Stuart Little actor admitted he hasn’t seen the same success as an adult (Picture: TBS) The film also featured Stuart Little child star Jonathan Lipnicki in his first big screen role at just five years old.
This led to major parts in 2000’s The Little Vampire and 2002’s Like Mike, but the 34-year-old actor hasn’t seen the same level of success as an adult.
‘I pray every night for clarity on where I need to go, and I’m confident the best is yet to come for me,’ he recently told People. ‘And I think you just have to believe that. If you’re going to pursue this, you’re doing yourself a disservice not to dream big.’
He added: ‘It’s totally fine to say I’m not where I want to be career-wise.’
