Beijing showed a “nuclear triad” during a large -scale military parade on Tiananmen Square.
China introduced a new rocket / screenshotDuring a large-scale military parade in Beijing, China demonstrated the latest strategic weapons, including the DF-61 intercontinental ballistic missile. About it reports CNN.
The parade took place on Tiananmen Square in China’s capital. The DF-61 first showed publicly on an eight-wheeled mobile platform.
In addition, Beijing introduced the JL-1 ballistic missile, the JL-3 underwater IBR, as well as the updated DF-31 ground missile.
According to the State Agency “Xinhua”, the full arsenal of long -range strategic systems, which form the so -called “nuclear triad” – forces on land, sea and in the air, was first demonstrated. The publication emphasizes that this arsenal is a “strategic trump card to protect national sovereignty and upholding dignity.”

The parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, became the culmination of a multi -week campaign of the ruling communist party aimed at igniting nationalism, reviewing the role of China in that war and establishing a party as a rescuer of a nation from a foreign aggressor.
