The Game Awards celebrates 10 years / Photo – The Game AwardsThe annual award for the best video games of the year, The Game Awards, is in its 10th year. In honor of this, the organizers have prepared a special trailer for the event.In the trailer, the creator of the Max Payne and Alan Wake series of games, Sam Lake, recalled how art is created:
“When hundreds of people have the same vision and can build something out of it, they can create miracles. We can create art and more.”
The organizers also recalled all the most iconic moments of the ceremonies in recent years: Christopher Judge’s 10-minute speech after receiving the award for the role of Kratos, the victory of Baldur’s Gate 3 and the performances of Yusuf Fares.
Nominees for The Game Awards 2024 will be announced today, November 18. The award ceremony itself will take place on the night of December 13. The event will be hosted by TGA’s regular host Jeff Keely. He promises that this year’s ceremony will be special.
Earlier, the organizers of The Game Awards stated that DLC, remasters and remakes can claim all nominations, including “game of the year”. The jury primarily assesses the creative and technical implementation of the project.
