The X Factor and Geordie Shore star Amelia Lily has married her long-term partner Eddie McQueen in a lavish church ceremony.

The singer, who found fame as a contestant on Simon Cowell’s former talent show in 2011, exchanged vows with Eddie McQueen at 18th century, Grade II listed Wynyard Hall in Stockton-on-Tees on Saturday.

Lily, 31, looked stunning in a traditional white lace bridal gown with a distinctive overlay as she exited the venue arm-in-arm with her new husband, the son of late Scottish football legend Gordon McQueen.

The singer met Eddie in 2023 and the couple welcomed daughter Pearl, their first child, following a secret pregnancy last May.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Lily shared an assortment of photos and videos from her wedding and reception, among them a selfie with new sister-in-law Hayley McQueen.

Following the service, guests enjoyed a three course meal of smoked chicken and parmesan arancini followed by a sumptuous 16-hour braised featherblade steak, mashed potato and tenderstem broccoli.

They were also treated to a performance from Lily – a third placed finalist on The X Factor – after she took to the stage with a live band.

Both Lily and Eddie come from footballing families, with the singer’s father, John Barry Oliver, a former manager of Northern League division two club Billingham Town.

Eddie’s father played with distinction for St. Mirren, Leeds United and Manchester United throughout the 1970s and ’80s, while earning 30 caps for Scotland.

He tragically died in 2023 aged 70, two years after being diagnosed with vascular dementia.

Confirming the birth of her daughter in May, Lily wrote: ‘The best secret we’ve ever kept…

‘Myself and Eddie would like to introduce our daughter. Pearl McQueen. Born 23.05.25 at 10:11am weighing a little chunky 8.12lbs.

‘9 months of carrying you Pearl and being in our little pregnancy bubble. Now you are finally here.’

In 2024 Lily was forced to pull out of the Sunderland Food and Drink Festival after she was urgently rushed to hospital.

Guests had to tread carefully after the area suffered significant snowfall over the weekend

Taking to Instagram at the time, she informed followers that she was ‘severely unwell’ and would be unable to attend the festival.

Lily – who is diabetic – shared a snap of herself in the hospital on a ward hooked up to a drip, and revealed she was ‘gutted’ to cancel the upcoming scheduled gig in Sunderland.

She wrote: ‘Hello everyone, after a really tough week of being severely unwell, I have never felt like this in my life.

‘I have been admitted into hospital with an underlying infection. I am so sorry that I won’t be able to perform tomorrow evening at the @sunderlandfooddrinkfest.

‘I love performing and am absolutely gutted I can’t be there tomorrow but I know I’m in the best place.’
