According to TMZ, the actor was found dead on Friday at his home in Duarte, California.

Officers discovered his body around 5:40 pm after they were called to the property.

No foul play is suspected and a cause of death has not yet been released.

He is survived by his wife Janet Carter.

Carter’s last appearance on screen was in 2023 when he played Cliff in five episodes of the sitcom Dave and featured in three episodes of The Company You Keep.

Tributes have been made from fans who have been saddened by the news of his death.

“Was a huge fan of his…sad to hear,” one wrote on X.

The actor had shared a video of him finding The Way Back on Netflix which he appeared in alongside Ben Affleck.

“Look what I found on Netflix. Good movie The Way Back. TK Veteran Carter/Ben Affleck,” he wrote.
