Thus, the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country showed a video of the allegedly downed Ukrainian drone “Chaklun-B” during the attack. It is worth noting that the Armed Forces use these drones with an estimated flight range of up to 700 kilometers to strike targets in the rear of the Russian Federation. In particular, at the beginning of the year, they attacked the Smolensk Aircraft Plant.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also showed a map with the trajectories of drones.
Russia stated that the attack began around 7 p.m. on December 28, with the use of aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, from the territories of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

“The construction of the strike, the number of air attack vehicles involved and their actions from the south, south-west and west directly in the area of the residence of the President of Russia in the Novgorod region clearly confirm that the attack was purposeful, carefully planned and had an echeloned nature,” the Russian Federation said.
At the same time, it is claimed that there are no casualties or destruction on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Attack on Valdai – what is knownOn December 29, Moscow accused Ukraine of an alleged UAV attack on Putin’s residence in the Novgorod region. Russia said that Ukraine allegedly wanted to disrupt the peace talks and threatened to “strengthen its position”.
Commenting on this attack, President Volodymyr Zelensky called it a lie and said that the Russian Federation was preparing an excuse for attacks on state buildings in Kyiv.
At the same time, experts note that the intended strike contradicts the “reasonable” tactics of Ukraine in drone attacks.
