On his page in the Facebook social network, the politician published the logo and name of the band – “Varchabend”. As Armenia Today explains, the name is formed from the first two syllables of the word “premier” in Armenian and the English word “band”.
In mid-January, Pashinyan announced that the band’s first performance will take place in Yerevan on January 30. According to him, details about the venue of the concert will be announced later, and it will be possible to attend the event after pre-registration.

In August 2025, the media reported that he and his wife Anna Hakobyan had started learning musical instruments, including the guitar and drums. Subsequently, the prime minister repeatedly published videos of him playing the drums on social networks.
