The track creates a vivid portrait of assault units.
A military rapper and the winner of “Voice of the Country” wrote a battle song for the “Edelweiss” brigade / UNIAN collage, screenshotsUkrainian artists Kozak Syromaha and Yan Shipula spent several days with the soldiers of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss” and with the participation of musician Sasha Chemerov wrote a combat song that combines folk rock and hip-hop.
The process of creating the composition was shown in the fourth episode of the military musical project of the Cultural Forces platform “Front Studio”. In it, military units open their doors to musicians so that battle songs are born. Previously, compositions for the 30th, 92nd and 93rd brigades were already presented, which were created by Sasha Chemerov, Gonya, Pavlo Gots, and Misha Privily.
The new track for the 10th brigade creates a vivid portrait of the assault units – drone operators, infantrymen and stormtroopers who “grit their teeth, go forward and get the job done”. Both artists have combat experience: Kozak Siromakha fought during the Anti-terrorist Operation, Jan Shipula – voluntarily mobilized at the beginning of a full-scale invasion. Therefore, it was easy for them to participate in training and handle weapons.
Their song, thanks to its driving rhythm, strong vocal delivery and poetic images of mountains, glorifies the identity of the brigade – endurance hardened in the highlands and carried through the most difficult battlefields of Donbas. The track conveys both the calm precision of night strikes and the primal strength of those who “always keep their faces” even under fire.
“Edelweiss was born from the spirit that we felt inside the brigade – their calm strength, discipline and mountain stability. This is a song about the ability to rise above fear the way an edelweiss blooms on a stone – quietly, stubbornly and with undeniable strength”, – noted Cossack Syromakha, winner of the “Voice of the Country” project.
It is known that the 10th brigade was formed in 2015. Since then, she has been fighting all over Donbas – from Zoloty in the Luhansk region to Shirokyny in the Azov region. Since 2022, the fighters of the brigade covered the northern border, knocked out the invaders from the Kyiv region and fought in Bakhmut. Currently, they are holding defense in Donetsk region.

“Front Studio” is a musical military project of the Cultural Forces platform. 17 famous artists took part in it. Perhaps the Cultural Forces were the first to gather such a large number of artists of various genres within the framework of one musical-military project. Among them are Sasha Chemerov, MONATIK, Pavlo Gots (NAZVA), NORD DIVISION, Kozak Siromaha, Yulia Yurina, Misha Rialbny, Lely45, PROBASS ∆ HARDI, DK Energetik and others.
In total, 16 episodes of the show, 16 song releases and 16 music videos will be released within the project.
Cultural forces – a platform that unites servicemen of creative professions, cultural figures, analysts and volunteers.
