The singer allegedly had problems with hygiene.

According to The Independent, the legendary American singer Lionel Richie told this in his memoirs. According to him, Jackson was very close to his family, but at some point he went to “free swimming”:
“His daily life could be called eccentric. Like a scattered professor, but at the same time a child.”
Richie remembered how the American composer and arranger Quincy Jones often joked about Jackson, calling him “Smelly”. “Michael also laughed, realizing that he did not notice how he did not change or iron his clothes for a few days. We all have our strange habits,” the singer added.
According to the musician, the bad hygiene of Jackson was the result of his enormous popularity, as he constantly toured and had little time even in everyday life. In addition, he could not simply give his clothes to a dry cleaning, because most often things were simply not returned – everyone left something in memory:
“When Michael came to me, he was something in – jeans and a T -shirt. Jeans were either falling, or were too short, and, well … ridiculously smelled.”
The publication reminds that five former Jackson households have previously described him as “the dirtiest and most hygienic person in Hollywood.”
