According to Yonhap, Kim Jong -in was present in the west, and the Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimov also noticed in the hall. On the big screen, photos of North Korean soldiers were broadcast near the Russian invaders. One of the pictures was a blocked notepad with the following lines:
“The decisive moment has finally come. Let’s bravely fight in this sacred battle with boundless love and trust that our favorite commander -in -chief gives us.”
After that, the audience showed photos from the return ceremony of the remains of the DPRK from the Kursk region. In one of the pictures, Kim sets the North Korean flag above the coffin. According to the widespread video, those present in the hall were crying at this moment.
The participation of the DPRK troops in the warAs reported by UNIAN, last summer Russia and North Korea have concluded an agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership, which provides for mutual support in the event of armed aggression. In August, this agreement was ratified by both parties.
Already in October, South Korean intelligence reported about 3000 military DPRK to Russia to participate in hostilities against Ukraine. Both parties did not confirm this information.
Foreign units were sent to the Kursk region, they soon entered the fighting on the side of the Russian Federation, trying to squeeze the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Russian territory.
In the winter, the Ukrainian military captured two North Korean soldiers who fought in the Kursk region. Both were wounded but remained alive, after which they were questioned by investigators of the Ukrainian Security Service.
