Tecno prepares a unique triple folding smartphone layer / Photo TecnoTECNO, without previous announcements, introduced a new folding smartphone Phantom Ultimate G Fold. The G-shaped device during assembly has a very unusual appearance against the background of the usual clamshells, including Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, which are debut tomorrow.
The first images of the device were posted by the Ice Universe authoritative insider. Like last year’s Huawei Mate XT, it is three times, but the tecno has chosen the original design with a G-shaped bending mechanism, in which both sides of the screen will roll inside.
According to the 9TO5google portal, this design has a more practical appearance: the manufacturer has provided a glass external panel that protects the flexible screen, and the shape of the case has become closer to the usual compound models. Samsung’s future triangle can be perceived in a similar style.
Phantom Ultimate G FoldPhantom Ultimate G Fold has more in common with the Google Pixel 9 series than Samsung has released lately. The silver matte frame paired with a white rear panel sends to Pixel 9 Pro fold, and the horizontal block of the cameras – to the Pixel 9 Pro.
Phantom Ultimate G FoldHowever, despite the modern appearance, the novelty Tecno has its disadvantages. The individual sections of the smartphone look thin, but in folded form it will become quite massive – the previous thickness is about 13 mm, with the addition of more than 4 mm from each panel.
According to the information available, the triple folding TECNO smartphone can officially debut in mid -July – just a few days after Samsung’s announcement.
Phantom Ultimate G FoldWhile smartphones with a triple screen remain a niche product: Huawei remains the only company that has released such a device for the mass market. The cost of Huawei Mate XT in the global market is € 3499 (~ 150 000 UAH).
Meanwhile, the first folding iPhone will only be released in the fall of 2026. It is known that it will be made in the book “Books”, similar to Galaxy Z Fold, will receive two screens and the thinnest case among all iPhone.
