In the video, military officer Taras Stolyar performed a Metallica song on the bandura. The band members also told more about the Ukrainian defender.
“Recently, we learned about Cultural Paratroopers, the cultural weapon of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, through our own James Gatfield. It consists of seven world-class artists who were professional musicians before the war and are now active soldiers. The group has just completed a 170-concert charity tour USA. In the video, Taras Stolyar (honored artist of Ukraine/PFK, operational scout of the 112th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces) plays “Nothing Else Matters” on a 62-string bandura, a traditional Ukrainian folk instrument,” the musicians noted.
By the way, Taras Stolyar is a member of the “Cultural Airborne”, which is led by the singer-warrior Kol Serga. Before the war, he worked as part of the electronic band ONUKA. Now the man serves as a scout.
