Sven-Goran Eriksson’s life could be adapted for the big screen after Warner Brothers ‘developed an interest’ in the late England manager, who passed away in August.

A deal was previously struck to develop Sven’s epic life and career into a possible movie – but only now rumours began circulating on future projects.

According to The Mirror, Sven’s agent Bo Gustavsson said:’There are ideas about films. Warner Brothers have an option to do a film about Sven. We will see how things develop.’

The late Swedish footballer-turned-manager passed away aged 76 after battling cancer on August 26 of this year, followed by the release of his latest autobiography A Wonderful Journey.

It will be now down to decide who will play the main star as well as his various love interests – which include Ulrika Jonsson, Nancy Dell’Olio and Faria Alam.

The football legend made a successful career in club management between 1977 and 2001  after playing as a right-back.

In his time as a manager he won the likes of 18 trophies with a variety of league clubs in Sweden, Portugal, and Italy.

Marking the special occasion, Sven’s dear childhood friend and author Bengt Berg revealed there is ‘more to come’.

The poet – who has helped Sven write his autobiography – unveiled he has plenty of ‘left overs from his recordings’.

He told the publication: ‘I have many hours recorded that are not in the book and I am thinking what form this material can take.

‘It might be something like a mix of images and poems and texts in a collection – something completely different and independent to A Wonderful Journey.’

Inside his insightful biography, Sven admitted he was close to bankruptcy after losing £10million of his fortune to a financial adviser he took to court.

The Swedish coach had a number of well-paid jobs during his managerial career, most memorably his five year spell as Three Lions boss between 2001 and 2006.

He reflected on his brush with bankruptcy in the upcoming book ‘A Beautiful Game’

Sven is pictured alongside David Beckham at World Cup 2006′ quarter final game between England vs Portugal;

He was estimated to have received around £7million in pay-offs alone from England, Manchester City and Mexico.

In the book ‘A Wonderful Journey’, Sven made the revelation that despite his stellar managerial career, he had at one stage been close to bankruptcy.
