At an altitude of about 150 km about 10 minutes after launch and shortly after separation from the rocket launcher, the ship began to rotate randomly, sparks flew from it, after which the connection stopped.
“We really lost my bond with the ship. Unfortunately, it happened last time,” said SpaceX.
SpaceX stated that they would analyze the last launch to understand the cause of the accident, and noted that the explosion occurred after the loss of several engines.
This is the second test this year, during which one of the rocket degrees is lost – on January 17, the upper degree also collapsed immediately after launch.
SpaceX founder Ilon Musk has not commented on the test yet.
Starship spacecraftA rocket consisting of two degrees – the Super Heavy accelerator and the Starship spacecraft – the largest and most powerful not only in SpaceX, but in all the history of space flights.
Starship launched wanted to make a Starbase base on March 3. However, during the preparation, the company Mask encountered problems that arose in both elements of the space system – a high -speed accelerator and upper degree.
