The artist honored the memory of the famous director.
The death of David Lynch was a real loss for Oleg Skrypka / UNIAN collage, Instagram screenshot, ua.depositphotos.comThe famous Ukrainian singer, leader of the band “Vopli Vidopliasova” Oleg Skrypka reacted to the death of the famous American director David Lynch, who died on January 16, 2025. The performer shared an archival shot with a film artist whom he knew personally.The artist published the photo on his Instagram page. According to Skrypka, he was familiar with Lynch, so his departure became a real loss for the Ukrainian. In addition, the stage star noted that the creator of the cult series “Twin Peaks” was always on the side of Ukraine and supported our country.
In the archival photo shown by Oleg Yuriyovych, the stars posed for the camera in classic suits of dark colors, and white shirts were visible under them. David had a yellow tie, and the singer chose a necklace with a cross.
“It was with extreme sadness that I learned about the death of David Lynch, an artist, film director, musician and actor. But this loss is personal for me. I knew David. We met him during transcendental meditation. David is an exceptional person, a spiritual person, an artist and leader. He was always on the side of good and supported Ukraine. You will always be in our hearts, David hearts and memory”, – honored the memory of director Skrypko.

It is only known that in 2020 the director was diagnosed with emphysema. This is a chronic lung disease that causes shortness of breath. The cultural figure himself previously said that the cause of the disease was smoking. David had been smoking since the age of eight, due to which his lungs did not function fully in his old age.
We will remind, earlier David Lynch spoke about his illness shortly before his death. Then he reported that his condition had worsened.
