The release of the game is scheduled for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series in December 2025 / Photo FrogWaresThe Ukrainian FrogWares Studio, which creates games about Sherlock Holmes, showed the first glance at The Sinking City 2 – the continuation of its inspired by the Lavraft myths of the game.
The original The Sinking City came out in 2019 and was generally well met with gamers and media. Unlike the first part, it is a full-fledged Survayvl-Choral, which will have a completely new story. Thus, it is not necessary for newcomers to play the first part.
The Sinking City 2 will send us to the otherwise embodiment of Arkham from the novels and stories of Lavraft. In the game-the 1920s, the world is covered by an atmosphere of loneliness, worthlessness and hopelessness. The FrogWares studio assures that the city in the new part will be larger and more diverse. Separate emphasis is placed on battles and research.
To provide additional opportunities and support the development of the game, FrogWares has started Kickstarter-campaign to collect 100,000 euros (~ 4.5 million UAH) per month. However, in less than two hours after the launch of the campaign, they raised the entire amount. There are more than 120 thousand euros on the account, and this amount is increasing.
The game is developed for PC (Steam, EgS, GOG), PS5 and Xbox Series. The release is scheduled for December this year.
Recall that recently Ukrainian developers Metro presented their new game in the countryside of the future and with the director of “Drive” on board. There is no release yet, but it is known that it will come out in Steam.
While the other half of 4a Games is still working on a new part of Metro. There is no details and release yet, but the project is at a stage of development when the game can be gone from beginning to end. Therefore, it is quite possible to release in 2025-2026.
