Interestingly, animation based on data from the Mars Express Esa spacecraft, transfer viewers to “fascinating flight over tortuous channels, laid water, islands that are not exposed to erosion, and a labyrinth of a hilly location”, using ESA.

“The central element of the tour is a channel of the outflow of 1300 km, called the shalbatan valley. It descends from the high mountain region of Xanfe Terra to the smoother lowlands of the Christian plain. 100 km wide, formed on the surface of Mars during a collision with a space object, “they explained.

It is noted that “Xanfe Terra” is a name that the International Astronomical Union gave this region in 1979 after Mars high -precision shooting by spacecraft of that era. According to DLR, the German Space Agency that funded the installation of equipment, this name means something like “golden-yellow land”.

Attentive viewers will be able to see how the flight crosses the “border of the Martian dichotomy”, where the craters of the southern heights are gradually smoothed out, turning into the flat plains of the northern lowlands, according to a separate DLR statement. Researchers are still not sure about the causes of this dichotomy.

In addition, the video shows the outflow channels, which are wide, deep -cut valleys, which were probably formed in the geological past Mars during catastrophic floods, which were accompanied by a lot of water. According to scientists, this formation may have happened due to the melting of underground icy deposits.

DLR representatives added that the Mars Express camera examines Mars geology as part of a larger life search mission. It has been on the Red Planet since 2003, a mission that has been taking two years. The spacecraft is still working after more than 20 years of service, and its mission has been repeatedly continued in connection with the return of scientific data.

News about the study of MarsLast July, the Perseverance Marmore, launched by NASA, collected new samples of the Martian breed and explored them. The study sample found minerals and structures that are often associated with the activity of microorganisms on Earth. At the same time, scientists emphasize that all these signs can also have non -biological origin.
