As the Telegram channel “Exilenova+” reports, Airbus satellite images record at least two hits to the pipeline of the Transneft oil terminal.
An oil tanker near the wharf was also damaged.
“Due to the quality of the images, it is not yet possible to accurately determine the extent of the destruction,” the message reads.
Photo by Exilenova+Oil spills into the sea were also reported after the attack.
The oil terminal in Tuapse is located in the water area of the Tuapse Seaport (Krasnodar Territory). It is operated by JSC Chornomortransnafta, which is part of the structure of PJSC Transneft.
It is one of the main export terminals of southern Russia, through which oil is shipped to foreign markets, in particular to the countries of the Mediterranean and Asia.
The damaged pier was commissioned in 2013. It is able to handle up to 7 million tons of products per year and accommodate vessels up to 250 meters long with a draft of up to 15 meters.
Attack on the terminal in Tuapse – what is knownOn the night of Sunday, November 2, an oil terminal was hit by drones in the port of Tuapse. The media reported on the damage to the “port infrastructure”.
UNIAN sources in the special services reported that five drone strikes were recorded. As a result of the flights, the tanker caught fire and disabled at least four oil tankers that load and unload tankers. Port buildings were also damaged.
Dmytro Pletenchuk, the spokesman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, noted that at the time of the attack on the port of Tuapse, there were at least three vessels of the shadow fleet of the Russian Federation on the oil unloading platforms.
