As the expert and specialist in electronics Serhiy “Flash” Beskresnov wrote, they began to install portable anti-aircraft missile complexes on drones.
“Today, for the first time, we encountered Shahed, on board of which MANPADS are installed,” he wrote.
The expert clarified that “Shakhed” is equipped with a camera and a radio modem. And the launch of the rocket is carried out by the Shaheda pilot, who controls it from the territory of the Russian Federation.
“I ask the pilots of the army aviation to take note of the appearance of a new threat. You should avoid approaching Shahed in the opposite direction and be more careful with those standing in the circle,” he added.
Modernization of “Shakhed” – more newsWe will remind that earlier it became known about the equipment of “Shaheed” with infrared searchlights. This is a new countermeasure, and in this way the enemy tries to blind the interceptor drones or the pilots of the planes that shoot down the Shaheds.
Also, the enemy is expanding the possibilities for navigation by installing a new type of antennas on kamikaze drones. They allow navigation by VOR/DME radio beacons. It is a reliable navigation system that was developed in the 1940s and has been widely used in aviation since then.
