“Dancing with the Stars” returns to 1+1 Ukraine: a charity broadcast that will unite Ukrainians before the New Year.
The special holiday broadcast “Dancing with the Stars” under the slogan “Movement to Life” is designed to give Ukrainians warmth, inspiration and support at a time when these emotions are most needed. And also this year, the project has an important mission – to help raise funds for our defenders. Dancing with the Stars is teaming up with the Superhumans Center, a state-of-the-art war trauma medical center dedicated to prosthetics and rehabilitation of military and civilian victims of full-scale war. The collection is aimed at financing the targeted evacuation of wounded fighters from the front so that they can receive the necessary treatment as soon as possible.
You can join the collection by following the link.
The closed Telegram channel “Dancing with the Stars. Movement for Life” has already announced the next three participants of the special broadcast.
The following will appear on the floor:
Zhenya Halych is a veteran, rock musician, frontman of the band O.Torvald, a solo artist who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the spring of 2022. As part of his unit 135 of a separate battalion, he participated in combat missions, in the spring of 2023 – the defense of the city of Bakhmut. Has the rank of senior lieutenant. Awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree.
“Wow! This is a very unexpected offer for me! I think that the producers, directors and choreographers do not even imagine how difficult it will be for them to teach me to dance. For me, this is a super challenge! I will try to be as professional as possible, invest all my time, all my effort, because this project has a huge goal – to help Superhumans. It became decisive for me. I wanted to join the project right when I found out about it. I am very I like my partner – she’s incredible: beautiful and professional, I think we’ll do well.” Halych comments.
Natalya Ostrovska is a journalist and anchor of TSN, whose daily work is connected with the stories of people changed by the war. Natalya created special projects with active soldiers and veterans, documented the stories of people who survived the occupation and lost their homes, made reports from the de-occupied territories. Actively participates in charitable initiatives aimed at helping military personnel and families affected by the war. Mentor of the charity project 1+1 media “Make a dream come true”.
“Dancing is a real challenge for me. The opportunity to discover new boundaries in myself, completely different from when conducting news. During the full-scale invasion, the team and I on the air of TSN raised large sums for the military, and I feel proud that people trust us. The charity edition of “Dancing with the Stars” will be another step in this important cause, another way to be useful.
A dance partner will help me along this path. He impressed both colleagues at TSN and my mother (smiles). I believe that the audience will also feel our energy, support and light, which we want to present in such a difficult time.” – says Ostrovska.
Nikita Dobrynin is the presenter of the “Closer to the Stars” project at TET, the hero of the “Bachelor” show in 2019, a media person with many years of experience and an active participant in charity initiatives. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he has repeatedly joined meetings for units of the Armed Forces, including where his friends and brother serve. He is an ambassador of the prosthetics and rehabilitation center “Titanovi” and supports the prosthetics center Medical Center Orthotics & Prosthetics Ukraine (MSOR).
“I am impressed by people who can sing and dance. These are two energies that work psychotherapeutically for a person, when you can pour out your emotions through movement, through voice. Therefore, of course, I always wanted to be able to sing well and dance well.
If I’m more or less good at singing, because I went to vocal courses as a child, then I was not good at dancing at all. I remember how they brought me to the “Youth of Bukovyna” talent school for ballroom dancing. They showed a cha-cha-cha leg to the right, a cha-cha-cha leg to the left. I looked at it all and told myself that it was definitely not mine. And left. And he never returned to the dance.
But at the school graduation, I danced the waltz twice, because there were few boys, many girls, and not enough partners. So now participating in “Dancing with the Stars” is a kind of challenge for me. Try your hand, set a new goal and, of course, help the Superhumans Center.” – says Dobrynin.
Other names of the star participants, as well as the hosts of “Dancing with the Stars” and dancers will initially be known exclusively in the closed Telegram channel “Dancing with the Stars. Movement for Life”, access to which can be obtained for a donation of UAH 500 or more for the Superhumans Center. On the channel: backstage, raffles, exclusives and all the insiders from the preparation for the show.
The super-partner of the special edition of “Dancing with the Stars” is the Superhumans Center.
