He emphasized that in the last week, Trump made several friendly steps towards the Kremlin. Thus, having imposed trade duties for 185 countries, he made an exception to Russia. After that, the Trump administration quietly lifted sanctions against one of Vladimir Putin Kiril Dmitriev’s closest advisers so that he could come to Washington for negotiations.
“It was the last sign that President Donald Trump dreams of new business relations with Russia with Russia – even when he launches a trade war against richer and more diverse economies of US allies,” Kollinson writes.
While the White House made reversions towards the Kremlin, in parallel he continued to press on Kyiv. In particular, Trump criticized Vladimir Zelensky, accusing him of sabotage agreements on Ukrainian resources. The analyst noted that this document would not be signed by no other Ukrainian president, because in fact it is about transferring to the US hands control over strategic Ukrainian assets.

And all this happens against the backdrop of the obvious tightening of the negotiation process on peace in Ukraine, which still went down the Kremlin from their hands.
According to Collinson, at best we are still awaiting Trump’s tough reaction to Putin’s pranks. But a more “gloomy” look at the situation is that Trump does not really care for peace in Ukraine and he “still wants to hug Putin.”
Peace negotiations in Ukraine: The latest newsAccording to UNIAN, the Western press reports that Trump probably began to lose patience about Vladimir Putin, who obviously delayed negotiations on ceasefire and peace in Ukraine. At least some representatives of his administration speak of it.
Against this background, Volodymyr Zelenskyy complained that it is impossible to conduct substantive negotiations with the Russians on the final settlement of the conflict, as long as barbaric shelling of the Ukrainian territory continue. He urged the United States to squeeze Putin and put him at the negotiation table.
