Putin received a “peace plan” previously leaked to the press from the United States / Illustration by REUTERSRussian dictator Vladimir Putin has expressed his readiness to work with the “peace plan” for Ukraine proposed by the United States. He stated this during a meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
Thus, Putin stated that “SVO” leads to the achievement of Russia’s goals by armed means. “But we are also ready for peaceful negotiations, for solving problems peacefully, but this, of course, requires a substantive discussion of all the details of the proposed plan. We are ready for that,” he explained.
The dictator announced that he had already received the text of the American peace settlement project. According to him, this is a modified version of the plan that was discussed in Alaska. According to Putin, this document can form the basis of the “final peace settlement”.
He noted that even before the summit in Alaska, the Americans asked the Russian Federation to make certain compromises and “show flexibility.”
“We have confirmed that, despite certain difficult issues and difficulties on our part, we nevertheless agree with these proposals,” the head of the Russian Federation added.
According to Putin, the new version of the “peace plan” between the Russians and the Americans has allegedly not yet been discussed in detail – “only in general terms.”
A new “peace plan” for UkraineAs UNIAN wrote, the new 28-point “peace plan” developed by the special envoys of the presidents of the USA and the Russian Federation, Steve Witkoff and Kirill Dmitriev, was leaked to the press earlier. The plan, in particular, contains the main demands of the Russian Federation, which were put forward from the very beginning of the war: disarmament of the Armed Forces, surrender of territories, Russification of Ukraine, ban on military cooperation of Ukraine with advanced countries of the world.
Although the content of the plan was not officially confirmed, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the existence of “28 points” of a peaceful settlement, which are now being imposed on Ukraine. At the same time, the president made it clear that the pressure is coming from the US.
Although the plan is presented as American, the English-language press has noted that its text is clearly a translation from Russian. This is indicated by some verbal constructions in the document, which are not typical for native English speakers, but are common in the Russian language.
