The publication shared that the best time to monitor Perseids is dawn on August 13. Up to 100 falling stars will be visible in ideal conditions.
“You can watch long Perseids sliding above the ground as soon as it gets dark until the moon starts to interfere. For most people it will be about an hour,” Metertord Lansford from the American Meteorite Society told reporters.
Anyone who wants to find the perfect place to monitor the meteor flow is advised to determine the radiant with an astronomical application for a smartphone and find a point about 40 degrees above it. The traces of meteors will be the longest. The swing of the compressed fist, extended to the distance of the stretched arm against the background of the night sky, is approximately 10 degrees.
