However, the frames soon began to seep into the Internet on platforms such as Tiktok, Reddit and X (Twitter).
Odyssey teaser is dedicated to the release of the movie Universal “The Jurassic World: Renaissance”, Variety writes. The exclusivity of the screening in theaters corresponds to the long -standing position of Nolan – it consistently defends the importance of rental in the halls.
However, before the official show of teaser in the US, video began to appear on the Internet, many of which were soon deleted on complaints of copyright.
The 70-second teaser briefly shows the main character of Odysseus (Matt Damon), his son Telemama (Tom Dutland) and a mysterious character performed by John Bernal. The orderly text utters a voice that is probably owned by Robert Pattinson, who also plays an unknown character.
“Darkness. The laws of Zeus have been broken completely. The kingdom without a king since my gentleman died. He knew that this war was doomed. But in some way … somehow he won it,” – sounds a voice behind the frame, accompanied by shore waves.
Two frames with Trojan horse were also shown – the legendary cunning of Odysseus, which allowed the Greeks to penetrate into Troy, destroy the garrison and destroy the city. First, the shadow of a wooden horse lies on the beach, and then it is shown at a distance – buried in half in the sand.
As in the original Homer’s poem, the return of Odysseus takes ten years: his ship is leaving from the course, he is faced with monsters, such as Cyclop, is captured by Mavka Calypso and conflicts with the gods.
Then the teaser goes to a tense dialogue between the Telemach and the hero of Berntal. The latter says he knows nothing about Odysseus’s fate: “I know nothing about Odysseus, I have not seen him since Troy.” The Holland character, in turn, states that he should find out what happened to his father.
They sit near the campfire with other characters against a background illuminated by a dull orange light. “Do you get interested in rumors, yes? Gossip? Who has the story of Odysseus, well? Do you have a story?”
After that, Greek soldiers were shown in armor with torches that marry the night city. “Someone says he is rich. Someone is poor. Someone says he was killed. Someone is in captivity. And what do you say?” The screen appears: “The journey begins.”
We are then shown by men who go to the night city under a worn flag. In the final of the teaser, we see Odysseus thrown into the open sea on the wreckage of a tree. The name of the movie: “The Odyssey” and the date “17.07.26” flash on the screen.
The film will star Anne Heteway, Zemdei, Lupita Niongo, Charlize Theron, Elliot Page, Himesh Pavel, Benny Safdi, John Lehutamoam, Mia Gott, Kori Gokins, Cosmo Jarvis and others, except for the already named actors.
The film is now in production and will be the first large production, completely filmed on IMAX cameras.
