The partners have expanded their long-term partnership, making the streamer “the home of WWE’s library in the US,” following the expiration of a five-year deal that NBCUniversal’s streamer Peacock had for the WWE video library.
Financial and other terms of the new Netflix-WWE deal weren’t disclosed, but The Hollywood Reporter understands that it is a multi-year agreement.
“Beginning immediately, Netflix is the new US home for WWE’s library of Premium Live Events (PLEs) (prior to September 2025), including WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumbleas well as award-winning documentaries and original programming,” the companies said on Tuesday.
WWE will, however, continue to have a presence on Peacock. Its Saturday Night’s Main Event specials and weekly SmackDown episodes will remain exclusive to NBC/Peacock under a deal that covers both current and archive programming. Meanwhile, current WWE PLEs, meaning events post-September 2025, are exclusive to ESPN in the US
The expansion of wrestling and wrestling-related content on Netflix comes a year after the January 2025 launch of WWE on Netflix, where Monday Night Raw “has become a weekly staple in the global English Top 10,” the partners noted on Tuesday. “Past episodes of Monday Night Raw are also available as part of the WWE library on Netflix.”
The news of the arrival of the WWE library content on Netflix also comes ahead of the launch of season 2 of the original behind-the-scenes documentary series WWE: Unreal on Jan. 20.
In early December, Netflix, which had more than 300 million paying subscribers in more than 190 countries when the streamer last disclosed figures, unveiled a mega-deal valued at $82.7 billion to acquire the studios and streaming operations of Warner Bros. Discovery.
