The TayFun Block-4 hypersonic rocket has become a symbol of Turkey’s new military ambition, challenging Russian counterparts and strengthening Ankara’s position on the global weapons market.
Turkey presented TayFun Block-4 / ScreenhootAt the IDEF 2025 International Exhibition in Istanbul, a breakthrough in military engineering, presenting its first TayFun Block-4 hypersonic ballistic missile, which, according to developers, is ahead of the Russian “darling”, Anadolu reports.
TayFun Block-4 is the latest hypersonic modification of the already known Tayfun missile, which was still the most dedication in the Turkish arsenal. The rocket weighs more than 7 tons, about 10 meters long and 938 mm in diameter.
Basic characteristics:
- The range of the lesion: up to 3000 km.
- Speed: over 6000 km/h.
- Accuracy: The deviation does not exceed 5 meters.
- Combat part: multi -purpose – capable of destroying air defense, command points, military hangars and strategic facilities.
For comparison, the Russian “dagger”, which was actively used against Ukraine, has a stated range of about 2000 km, and accuracy and hypersonic characteristics have repeatedly called into question independent experts.
In addition to TayFun Block-4, the Turkish company Roketsan presented other innovations:
- ATMACA – anti -ship rocket;
- Gokbora-Air-Air Class;
- 300 ER is a ballistic air base rocket.
Turkey tests a new weaponEarlier in Turkey, the Roketsan defensive company already conducted the third test start of the Tayfun ballistic missile. According to unofficial data, the flight range of such a rocket can be up to 1000 kilometers.
Subsequently, it became known that the Turkish company Aselsan tested its own anti-aircraft missile system with infrared Yildirim-100 homing heads.
