Eamonn Holmes appeared to take a tumble off screen leaving viewers shockedStunned co-host Ellie Costello could be heard saying “oh my gosh” as an almighty crash happened in the background.
Then Eamonn’s voice is heard off-screen exclaiming: “I’m fine, fine, fine, carry on, carry on.”
Charlie looked stunned and could barely get his words out as he tried continue on in a professional manner.
However, GB News footage showed him stuttering as his eyes continued to flick down to the floor in shock.
The early morning news programme then went to adverts just seconds later.
Eamonn is understood to be OK and addressed the fall when the show returned from an extended break.
After a lengthy six minute interval, the broadcaster returned to screens, joking “I’m alive” as he blamed the “wonky” wheels on his chair.
He said: “They’re very wonky wheels on chairs we’ve got here, as a matter of fact we don’t really like the chairs here.
“It was a shock for me because I had a fall two weeks ago in my bathroom that hospitalised me and that hit me right in the back.”
Eamonn added: “That hit me again right in the back. Really really sore, really sore.”
Concerned tweets from viewers poured in after the shocking off screen moment.
One wrote: “What just happened to Eamonn Holmes on @GBNEWS?
“Big crashing sound then straight to adverts. Hope all ok.”
Another said: “Sounded like Eamonn Holmes fell but hard to tell.”
A GB News representative said that everything was “fine” and that they would speak with Eamonn following the show.
It comes after Eamonn suffered a setback in his recovery after being rushed to hospital when taking a tumble at home two weeks ago.
The broadcaster was left in lots of pain after falling onto his bathroom floor earlier this month.
A source previously told The Sun about the fall, saying: “Eamonn slipped in the bathroom last week and took a bad tumble.
“He was taken to hospital in a lot of pain and went through a series of tests.
“Fortunately, he didn’t suffer any broken bones and is now on the mend.
“He was very lucky.”
The TV star – who is often seen out in a wheelchair or on crutches – has struggled with his mobility for the last few years as he battles intense back pain.
His chronic condition began unexpectedly in 2021 and soon he was unable to walk without a stick to help him.
The pain was caused by a dislocated pelvis, which later resulted in him sustaining three slipped disks.
While recovering from surgery, he fell down the stairs at his home in Weybridge and broke his shoulder.
A further spine and neck procedure in 2023 did little to alleviate Eamonn’s pain.
He has admitted the pain has led to him having countless “sleepless nights” and caused rows with his estranged wife Ruth Langsford over how much medication he relies on taking.
