At the same time, it became known that the new season of the hit show on DC comics will start on August 21, 2025. It will have eight episodes, which are likely to be released once a week.
At the center of the story of the series, which was created as a spinoff of the movie “Suicide Squad: Mission of Path” 2021-a ruthless killer and a true patriot of America Christopher Smith, nicknamed “Peacemaker”, who believes in the peace at all costs.
It is already known that in the second season, most major actors from the first season will return to their roles: John Sina (Christopher Smith / Peacemaker), Daniel Brooks (Leote Adebaeo), Freddie Stroma (Edrian Chaiz / Linchevatilla), Jennifer Dandor (Smith / White Dragon).
Among the new names in the caste is Frank Grillo, the most famous for the first avenger franchise and a bunch of middle -aged fighters. He will repeat the image of the special agent of the Task Force X River Flega Sr. (Father Rica Flega Jr., killed by a peacemaker in the final of the Suicide Squad). This character was first presented in the animated series “Monsters of Kommandos” (2024) and should also appear in the future “Superman” (2025).
Also in the second season of the series will be represented by the actors performed by the Sole Rodriguez (the series “Star Way: Picar”) and Tim Medouza (“Cool girls”, “Classmates”), they will embody the images of “Argus” agents Sasha Bordeaux and Langstone Flery, respectively. Another unnamed new character will play David Denman (series “Meir of Isttaun”, “Recruit”).
Recall that the first season of the Peacemaker, which was released in early 2022, told about the invasion of ominous butterflies from space who wanted to seize the land. Only Christopher Smith, along with the team of “Argus”, his friend Linchevler and a domesticated eagle, could give battle to the invaders. In parallel, the story revealed Smith’s relationship with his father, the leader of the American neo -Nazis, nicknamed “White Dragon”.
The season received positive feedback from both critics and viewers. Yes, it is currently 8.3 of 10.3 of 10.3, while Rotten Tomatoes has 93% of critics and 89% of viewers. Meanwhile, at Metacritic, cinema viewers rated it at 70 out of 100 points, and a wide audience – 7.7 of 10 points, which in both cases corresponds to the characteristic “generally positive feedback”.
It should also be noted in the new video also showed other long -awaited MAX series, which should come out this year, including “The Last of the name”, “It: Welcome in Derri”, “Task”, “Daster”, “and just so …” and others.
