Max is due to perform on stage next weekCredit: GettyAnd he recently revealed he had to undergo a secret second heart operation after his pacemaker wires were inserted too deeply.
Fans are now sharing their concern for the star as The Wanted 2.0’s tour dates loom closer.
Max is still hoping to perform with The Wanted 2.0 co-star Siva Kaneswaran later this year, with one of his shows due to take place in a little over a week.
The Wanted 2.0 comprise of Max and Siva, with the duo due to perform at Manchester Cathedral next Thursday.
On February 27, The Wanted 2.0 are due to perform exclusively as part of the Echoes 2025 series.
And now fans are sharing their concern that they think the show could be cancelled amid Max’s ongoing health woes.
One fan took to X this week to share their fear that the show might be cancelled last minute.
FANS SHARE CONCERN”Of course Max’s health is absolutely paramount, the fan penned, “that goes without saying.”
“But there needs to be an announcement made about this gig at Manchester cathedral,” the fan added.
They concluded: “It’s meant to be next week… They need to cancel/postpone it and let the fans know.”
The fan then replied to someone else a while later and said: “We’ve got tickets but I think it’s pretty obvious it won’t be going ahead.”
The Sun has reached out to Max’s manager for comment.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday recently, Max opened up about his health and scary second operation.
“I was trying to get back to good health but was still having a flickering sensation for weeks after I had my pacemaker fitted and it was gradually getting worse and worse.
“When my heart rate went up, it was causing a shock in my heart which was making me jump all the time.
SECOND OPERATION”My chest was shaking,” he added.
After several visits to the hospital, it was only when a representative from Max’s pacemaker company Medtronic was visiting the ward by chance, that they were able to get to the bottom of his discomfort.
He was booked in for his second operation straight away, on January 15, but was warned that the rare situation could cause a dangerous bleed on his heart.
He said: “The night before, I was really nervous, I didn’t sleep much.
“I was worried it could go wrong again and felt anxious that it could bleed out.”
But the operation went well and he was “pleased it had gone successfully”.
HEALTH UPDATEAnd just 13 hours ago he shared an update on Instagram.
“A few weeks ago I had to go back into hospital after having some physical symptoms in my chest. It turned out that one of the leads was placed too far into my heart,” he said.
“The second surgery took about 2 hours. Luckily, it was a success and they kindly let me listen to Oasis the whole time,” Max went on.
He added: “It’s been a setback, but it’s just one of those things. I’ve had a few complications the last couple of months but I’m having loads of tests to make sure everything is all good.
“It could take a few weeks / months for the inflammation of my heart to subside, but I’m sure I’ll be back on top form in no time!
“Thanks everyone for all your lovely messages and support through what’s been a pretty rough time. Means a lot.”
