Jake Cornish has reportedly signed up to be a part of the US reality series The Challenge.

The former Love Island star, 27, first took part in the 2021 series of the ITV2 show and then returned for the first All Stars series in 2023.

His time in the All Stars version was incredibly short lived however as he walked from the villa on Day 3 after failing to find a connection with anyone.

According to The Sun, Jake is now returning to the small screen across the pond on the gruelling reality show The Challenge.

The show, which airs on MTV, features contestants taking part in extreme challenges in order to avoid elimination.

The Challenge regularly casts reality stars from other shows including Ex On The Beach and Geordie Shore.

MailOnline has contacted a representative of Jake Cornish for comment.

Jake previously said he departed Love Island: All Stars because it wasn’t the ‘right time’ for him to find love.

He said in a statement: ‘After a few amazing days in the villa, I’ve made the decision to leave ‘Love Island: All Stars’ as I’ve realised that now isn’t the right time for me to find love as I would never want to force a connection.’

Jake had an awkward reunion with his ex Liberty Poole in the villa.

The pair – who were affectionately known as Jiberty when they became an item in 2021 – were early favourites to win series seven, but their relationship fell apart following a dramatic Movie Night episode, and they ended up walking from the series just four days before the final.

Jake reportedly decided he ‘couldn’t stay’ after the public voted for the exes to be coupled up together.

‘Jake was really shocked to see Liberty in the villa – they had no idea the other person would be there,’ a source told The Sun.

‘It was clear from the start they wouldn’t get back together, then none of the girls wanted to step forward for him.

‘Jake had a nice three days in the villa and had a very emotional chat to Maya Jama, he couldn’t stay in the villa so he quit the show. It’s not his time and it’s not the right time to find love.’

Ahead of her re-entry, Liberty admitted it might be ‘awkward’ coming across her ex and seemingly shut down the possibility of any rekindled romances.

She got a nasty surprise when – not only was she was faced with her ex-boyfriend Jake – but the public voted for them to form a couple.

Liberty revealed they hadn’t spoken for three years and could only say ‘oh my God’ as she saw him walk through the villa.

They were quick to shoot down any possibility of rekindling the romance when asked by show host Maya Jama.
