The 17-year-old child actor, known for his role as Kid Loki in the Disney+ show fronted by Brit star Tom Hiddleston, went viral on TikTok after revealing he had been living in a trailer in London.
Jack, who is now also working as a personal trainer, begged the public for help this week – before later revealing he had been offered an appointment with Islington Council to find accommodation.
However, in an explosive video today, the furious teenager – who’s also appeared in The Favourite, Tin Star, The End of the F***ing World and Call the Midwife – claimed he would have to continue living on the streets.
‘I’m 17 and street homeless,’ he said in the latest social media clip. ‘I went to the meeting (with the council), they’ve told me I need to be street homeless again or return home which I can’t do until they find me a foster care placement – which might take a while.
‘They’re telling me days which is probably going to be weeks because they lie. So I’m going to have to be street homeless despite the fact that I’ve been put under care… and they’re still refusing to accommodate me because they don’t believe home is unsafe despite the evidence I have given them.
‘So, I don’t know what to do. Again, this is another call out for help. I had hope, but again, they’re not doing anything. They want to put me in foster care but in the meantime I have to stay on the streets.
‘It’s f***ing ridiculous. I cannot f***ing believe it… Islington Council, I’m calling you out directly because it’s ridiculous.’
MailOnline has approached Islington Council for comment.
In his first video on Monday about his situation, the Marvel star previously said: ‘Hi. I’m a famous actor, I’m 17, and I’m homeless.
‘I haven’t mentioned much about what’s been going on in my life, but I think it’s time to reveal the truth.’
During Monday’s unfiltered TikTok, Veal discussed other difficulties in his life, including his mental health. He also claimed he had been abused when he was younger.
‘I struggle with mental health. I have autism, ADHD, and am being screened for bipolar and psychosis.
‘I can’t stay at my grandparents’. I have nowhere else to go, and I need help.
‘Social services refuses to help me despite what I have told them. I am desperate.’
Jack then panned the camera around to show the area where he is currently staying as he looks for help.
He said: ‘I’ve been sleeping in the streets. I am currently sleeping in a trailer that has smashed-in windows, is unsafe, is two hours away from my work, which means I struggle to get to work every day.
‘It’s difficult. Life is hard. At the moment, I have nothing else. I am on my knees begging for you guys to just share this, do something, spread the message of how the government are treating kids.
‘I need help. Please share, please share it with whoever you can. You don’t have to pay me anything, I don’t need anything. I just need you to make this go as viral as possible.
‘I’ll continue to put some more stuff out, but, please, I need help.’
Less than 24 hours later, Veal shared another update with a much more hopeful tone.
‘I just got a call from social services saying they want a meeting with me tomorrow to potentially get me into foster care and support and accommodations,’ the actor said as his eyes filled with tears.
‘I don’t know what you guys have done but it’s gotten out there and it’s really, really helped me and they’re taking action now.
‘They’re actually doing something so God bless you all.’
He continued, ‘I’ll let you know how the meeting goes and there’s no promises, but this is the first time they’ve considered me for accommodation so thank you, thank you so much. I love you all.’
After posting his original video Jack was inundated with messages of support from his fans with some writing: ‘Let’s all share and comment as much as we can! We have to help him.’
‘This is extremely sad’… ‘Heartbreaking. Hope things get better for you soon’… ‘I’m so sorry Jack hope things get better for you.’
‘This message is reality. Sharing this and I hope you get the help you need.’
Jack, who was born in 2007, made his first on-screen appearance at 10 years old when he appeared in the drama film My Name Is Lenny.
That same year, he appeared in the crime drama Tin Star and appeared as Young James in five episodes of the show The End of the F***ing World the following year.
He also made an appearance 2018’s The Favourite as well as an episode of Call The Midwife.
In 2019 the rising star had a role in The Corrupted, and in 2020 he appeared in Come Away.
He played the young version of Tom Hiddleston’s character in the show Loki in 2021 with his last screen credit being sci-fi show The Peripheral the following year.
In an Instagram video posted on November 30, Jack answered a fan’s question about his career plans, confirming ‘I will be continuing with acting. I’m focusing on a bit of a fitness rebrand at the moment but the acting will be there very soon.’
He has also recently posted about being ‘London’s youngest ultramarathon athlete’ and has been offering his services as a personal trainer.
Veal’s TikTok profile encourages donations to Lost Soul Charity, an organisation that seeks to address homelessness by raising funds to ‘help aid people into accommodation and support with care living,’ in addition to providing ‘sleeping bags, tents, and food resources.’
