Liam Neeson reveals the ‘insulting’ on-set habit that means he will never work with an actor

The Hollywood star, 73, who will next be seen in new film The Naked Gun, admitted there is one ‘very important’ factor that determines who he works alongside. 

Speaking to Rolling Stone, he explained: ‘I hear disturbing stories about actors and actresses who are very gifted, but show up on the set two, three, four hours late. 

‘I would never work with those people. I think it’s so insulting. 

‘You have a crew of like 60, 70, 80 people waiting for you. The very least you can do is give them the respect by turning up on time.’ 

Liam did not mention any names, he was not talking about any of his The Naked Gun co-stars as he praised the ‘terrific’ cast and Pamela Anderson in particular.

He added: ‘I was surrounded by terrific actors and actresses, especially Pamela Anderson. She’s outstanding in the film – she’s sexy, funny and just great to work with.’

Pam and Liam  brought their undeniable chemistry to Sunday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, which was pre-taped last Tuesday.

The Baywatch alum, 58, and the actor acted like every bit the coy couple on the Bravo talk show including intimately sharing the same $22 tube of ‘Basic’ lip balm from her company Sonsie Skin.

‘The question that I’m not asking the two of you tonight is what’s going on between the two of you,’ host Andy Cohen declared.

‘But I do just want to say as a very old friend of [Liam’s]. All of your friends are very much stanning this relationship, as the kids say.’

‘Awww,’ Pamela smiled.

The host then addressed Liam’s son Daniel Jack Neeson, who was seated in the ‘Oprah’ chair of the studio audience: ‘Right, Danny?

‘Yeah,’ Danny said as he smiled and agreed.

Andy has previously stated he believed Liam might be ready for love again after losing his wife of 15 years, Natasha Richardson, to traumatic brain injury she suffered in a 2009 skiing accident.

The host asked Liam and Anderson how many times they’ve ‘truly been in love’ and he answered ‘two’ while she hedged on ‘one and a half.’

Liam famously lived with his Excalibur co-star Helen Mirren between 1980-1985 and is said to have loved and left Barbra Streisand, Julia Roberts, Brooke Shields, Janice Dickinson, and Freya St. Johnston.

Pam has been married five times to four different men – Dan Hayhurst (2020-2022), Rick Salomon (2007-2008 and 2014-2015), Kid Rock (2006-2007), and Tommy Lee (1995-1998).

When Andy challenged Pamela to rank her ex-husbands from favorite to least favorite, Liam chivalrously argued ‘Oh that’s not fair’ before she responded: ‘Plead the fifth!’

Andy also asked the duo what they found ‘sweetest’ about each other.

‘He’s so kind and generous,’ the Playboy cover girl gushed.

While Liam – who loves her homebaked sourdough bread – answered ‘her spirit’ before adding that ‘she’s a giggler like me, and I love that.’
