“The spread of such content in Ukraine is in fact a challenge to national security and cultural identity. Russian music, especially, created or supported by persons who openly approve of Russia’s aggressive policy should be as limited as possible in our information spaces,” Ivanovskaya said.

She emphasized that Ukraine should turn to the world platforms with a clear position on the basis of Ukrainian legislation and demand to strengthen restrictions. According to her, such initiatives should be supported by government agencies, including the NSDC. Ivanovskaya said that under the Directorate on Internal and Humanitarian Policy of the OP of Ukraine there is an appropriate working group.
She called the difficult and delicate issue the presence of Russian -speaking songs with Ukrainian performers. Ivanovskaya added that the current language legislation does not provide for sanctions or restrictions on a creative product created by the language, which is Russian, even if they are songs of Ukrainian artists.

In social networks and public discussions, calls for supporting Ukrainian language in music and art are increasingly being heard.
