Keith Urban shocks with vicious lyric change at first show since Nicole Kidman split

Keith Urban made a vicious lyric change to his breakup anthem You’ll Think of Me at his Pennsylvania concert on Thursday – his first show since it emerged that he has split from his wife of 19 years Nicole Kidman.

He added a foulmouthed touch to the line: ‘Take your space and take your reasons,’ switching the end to: ‘Take your bulls*** reasons,’ according to Us Weekly.

In the wake of the divorce news, past clips have resurfaced of Urban’s cozy onstage antics with guitarist Maggie Baugh, 25, fueling romance rumors about them.

One video showed him pointing to Baugh as he sang: ‘I was born to love you’ in Las Vegas, while another was of him changing his lyric: ‘Baby I’ll be the fighter,’ to: ‘Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player,’ during a show in Chicago.

As speculation raged about the pair, Baugh was missing from Thursday night’s show – but a source with direct knowledge has now added a complicating detail.

Baugh apparently is not an actual member of his High and Alive World Tour, but was only filling in for country singer Natalie Stovall in Chicago when Stovall was unable to make that particular show, the insider explained to TMZ.

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas concert was a private function, not a part of the High and Alive tour the way this Thursday’s Pennsylvania show was.

Urban was without his wedding band when he hit the stage at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, as part of the ongoing tour.

While performing the 2024 track Heart Like a Hometown during Thursday’s concert, Urban paid a bizarre tribute to his estranged wife, as he chose to keep a photo of Kidman and their teenage daughters in a slideshow that played for the crowd.

He then opened up to his fans about his childhood and how his parents allowed him to drop out of school so he could pursue his passion for music full-time, per People.

Urban also notably dropped his 2016 song The Fighter from the setlist on Thursday – a track that is said to be inspired by his now estranged wife.

It comes only days after his split from Kidman came to light – with the Oscar winner, 58, officially filing for divorce on Tuesday following 19 years of marriage and welcoming two children: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

The former couple first crossed paths in 2005 and became engaged in May 2006. The following month, the stars said ‘I do’ at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel in Sydney, Australia.

And earlier this week, a Nashville-based music business PR claimed that Urban has already moved on with someone younger in the music industry.

He opted to not wear his wedding ring on Thursday just two days after his estranged wife filed for divorce on Tuesday and cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the shock separation; seen in 2023 in Nashville

‘The rumor is that he’s with a younger woman in the business. It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.’

Fellow country music artist Baugh, 25, has been wrapped up in the romance speculation.

Urban and Baugh first met last year in 2024 when he invited her to perform with him during the CMT Music Awards.

He then asked her to join him as a utility guitarist – which she opened up about during an interview with Pittsburgh Music Magazine back in April.

‘Working with Urban was like going to rock star school. He is a musical encyclopedia,’ she told the outlet.

Past clips of the pair performing on stage together have since resurfaced in the wake of the star’s split from Kidman.

In one video from a Las Vegas concert, Urban could be heard singing, ‘I was born to love you,’ while turning towards Baugh.

The two music artists had also performed the song The Fighter, with the original lyrics being: ‘When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter.’

The musician sent tongues wagging in the wake of his split with his Oscar-winning wife in an unearthed concert video from TMZ where he expressed his ‘love’ for 25-year-old musician Maggie Baugh; They are seen performing in 2024

However, Urban could be heard singing, ‘Maggie, I’ll be your fighter,’ which she reposted to Instagram with the caption, ‘Did he just say that.’

It is not known of Baugh joined Urban on stage during Thursday’s concert in Pennsylvania.

Urban and Kidman were last publicly seen together back in June of this year when they attended the FIFA World Cup match in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Australian-American actress currently resides at their $4 million home in Nashville along with their two teenage children.

The actress was reportedly left ‘blindsided’ by the separation.

A source stated, ‘Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour. There was a lot of love between the two and they might not divorce, but there is a world that they both live where neither of them are in it.

‘Keith and Nicole have been together for decades and there is a world which they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, it is not a couple.’

A separate source told People that the mom-of-four is ‘hurt’ and did not want their 19-year marriage to come to an end.

This comes after Keith and Maggie (pictured) had fans talking when he changed the lyrics to that same song at a recent concert

‘Nicole’s hurt and feels betrayed. It’s devastating to her. She’s shocked,’ the insider said and added she ‘didn’t want this and has been fighting to save the marriage.’

According to divorce documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Kidman will become the primary residential parent of their two teenage daughters.

The estranged couple have agreed to an unusual parenting plan in which Nicole gets 306 days while Keith receives just 59 with their kids.

Elsewhere, the document specifies that Nicole and Keith will make major decisions regarding their daughters together, including educational and extracurricular activities.

Neither party will receive monthly child support as Keith has ‘already prepaid all child support obligations.’

Despite the divorce, both stars will still ‘provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the children.’

Kidman and Urban also must not ‘speak badly of each other’ or about other family members.

The former couple will ‘encourage’ their children to ‘love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.’

The stars are also required to take a ‘mandated parenting seminar’ within 60 days of the divorce filing.

The notarized parenting plan was signed by the Oscar winner on September 6, while her estranged husband signed on August 29, a few days earlier.

The former couple have waived both child and spousal support, and agreed to split court costs evenly.
