Recently, it became known which city will take “Eurovision-2026”. In particular, the 70th Anniversary Contest will take place in the Arena Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna next May. And today, on September 2, public broadcasting announced the name of the new producer of the National Selection for Eurovision-2026.
So, she was singer Jamal, who won the competition in 2016 with the composition “1944”. The artist also shared this news on her Instagram.
“I am a music producer of the National Selection at Eurovision -2026. It is so honorable, responsible for me. At that time, I understand that it is 10 years after my victory. During this time I felt the incredible support of the whole of Europe, all over the world,” the singer said.
She also added that she was composed of the jury repeatedly, but now she has a new role.
“I will choose those who will compete for the right to represent Ukraine at Eurovision. The reception of applications will start very soon. And I wait for your songs. I am waiting for your voices, I am waiting for your charisma, I am waiting for you! I really need me,” Jamala stressed, but did not indicate the date.
It should be noted that Eurovision-2026 will take place in Austria, because last year the singer JJ with the song “Wasted Love” won the show. By the way, Vienna will take the participants of the competition for the third time.
Recall that recently Ukrainian producer Mikhail Yasinsky advocated the abolition of the national selection and covered with compliments Jerry Heil.
