Players believe that Team Cherry started an ARG about Hollow Knight.
This time, one of the co-creators of the original game, William Pellen, is in the spotlight, as he updated his X (formerly Twitter) account avatar to an image of a cake, seemingly hinting at a quick Silksong launch during the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 event.
Nintendo Direct for Switch 2, which will show the first games for the new portable, scheduled for April 2. A few days before the official announcement of the console, Pellen posted a tweet about a “big event” and cryptically asked to “keep your eyes closed” the next day. Fans soon discovered that if you do a reverse search for the cake image from Pellen’s profile, you’ll find a recipe dated April 2, 2024, exactly one year before the Nintendo Direct presentation.
Pellen’s new nickname on Twitter: Little Bomey provides an additional reason for the theories. As noticed on Reddit, the winery with a similar name is located not far from Team Cherry’s native Australia, and the year of its foundation is the same April 2024. In addition, fans have already seen the expression “eyes closed tomorrow” as a teaser for the song Eyes Closed by Imagine Dragons, and that video was also released on April 2, 2024.
It seems that Pellen is specially building a chain of references, hinting that something big can be expected on April 2. Given the fact that Switch 2 will be actively cooperating with third-party studios and is preparing a large release list, it is easy to imagine Silksong in the list of titles at the presentation. Especially since fans have been waiting for news about the sequel for several years.
We previously reported that a man was arrested in Japan for selling modified Nintendo Switch. This is the first such precedent, according to the Japanese media.
