Georgina Chapman attended the Baftas to support her partner, Adrien Brody (Picture: Getty) Harvey Weinstein’s ex-wife Georgina Chapman made a stunning return to the red carpet at the Bafta Film Awards on Sunday night, to support her prize-winning partner.
The British designer is now the proud girlfriend of toast of awards season star Adrien Brody, whose powerful performance in The Brutalist saw him take home the leading actor Bafta – among others.
London-born Georgina, 48, who co-founded fashion brand Marchesa, split from disgraced film producer Weinstein, 72, in the wake of numerous sexual abuse allegations against him, which started the #MeToo movement.
In the following years, she has kept a pretty low profile; the mother-of-two didn’t even go out in public for five months after the news of Weinstein’s pattern of horrifying predatory behaviour broke.
‘All the women who have been hurt deserve dignity and respect, so I want to give it the time it deserves. It’s a time for mourning, really,’ she told Vogue in a May 2018 interview while addressing cancelling her brand’s runway show for its upcoming collection and opting not to offer out any of its gowns for awards season.
She also revealed: ‘I was so humiliated and so broken that I didn’t think it was respectful to go out. I thought, “Who am I to be parading around with all of this going on?” It’s still so very, very raw.

However, on Sunday she made a splash in an eye-catchingly glamorous dress from the new Fall 2025 Marchesa collection as she made her way down the red carpet on the arm of Brody, 51.
The gown featured a strapless black velvet bodice with asymmetric peplum and subtle 3D floral accents, which flowed into a nude illusion tulle skirt.
Chapman wore her hair in loose waves and accessorized with sculpted diamond earrings and a black clutch bag.

He is now the favourite to scoop the best actor Oscar, over 20 years since he last did for The Pianist (Picture: Jed Cullen/Dave Benett/Getty Images for Universal Filmed Entertainment Group) When Brody picked up the best male actor in a motion picture (drama) at the Golden Globes in January, he thanked his ‘beautiful and amazing’ girlfriend in an emotional speech.
‘Your generosity of spirit, your own resilience, you immense creativity are a daily reminder of how to be – I would not be standing here before you if it wasn’t for you,’ he told her, seated among the crowd.
‘There was a time not too long ago that I felt this may never be a moment afforded to me again, so thank you,’ he added.
The fashion creative has been spotted out and about at other events with Brody – who she’s been in a relationship with since 2019 – including their first red carpet together in 2021, as well as the Met Gala and Venice Film Festival in 2022.

Between 2022 and 2023, Marchesa – which was previously funded by her ex – also bounced back and was seen being worn at high profile events by the likes of Chelsea Handler and Amy Forsyth.
Weinstein, who was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer last year, is currently behind bars following two trials where he was found guilty of rape and sexual assault, which gave him a combined 39-year jail term.

Brown/AFP/Getty) However, a retrial is scheduled to begin in April on the 23-year sentence from his 2020 New York rape conviction, which was tossed out in 2024.
He remains in custody due to his 2022 conviction in Los Angeles on sex crimes, which gave him a 16-year sentence, which is now also under appeal.
