The 2025 World Series are in full swing, and while the hometown Dodgers are back in the Fall Classic, Hollywood is divided this year over which team should take home the Commissioner’s Trophy.

This year’s World Series pits Los Angeles against the Toronto Blue Jays, with the Dodgers looking to become the first team to win back-to-back championships since the New York Yankees heyday in 1998-2000.

The Dodgers boast a number of long-time celebrity fans, including Jason Bateman, Will Ferrell, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea, and Rob Lowe, who was photographed mobbing Shohei Ohtani on the field after the Dodgers’ Game 5 win over the San Diego Padres in the 2024 National League Division Series. Stars like Chris Pratt, Jimmy Kimmel, John Legend, Jennifer Lawrence, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, meanwhile, were all spotted in the stands for LA’s World Series run last year.

Other Dodgers fans include musicians and LA natives Billie Eilish and Finneas; rappers Ice Cube and Kendrick Lamar; and singers Brad Paisley and Tinashe, who were tapped to perform the National Anthem during Game 3 and Game 4 of this year’s World Series, respectively.

Although he was born in the UK, one has to assume Elton John is rooting for the Dodgers too, as the singer famously wore a bedazzled Dodgers uniform during his 1975 concert at Dodgers Stadium (the sequined look remains a popular pop culture Halloween costume this time of year).

North of the border, the Blue Jays boast some serious support from stars like Ryan Reynolds, Rachel McAdams, Sandra Oh, Eugene Levy and even Frankenstein director Guillermo del Toro, who bought a house in Toronto after falling in love with the city while filming in Canada over the years. Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard, meanwhile, recently sported a Blue Jays cap while doing promo for his solo music tour.

Other celebrity Blue Jays fans include musicians like Avril Lavigne, Justin Bieber, Rush frontman Geddy Lee and of course, Drake, whose cover art for his Meek Mill diss track “Back to Back” famously used a photo from Game 6 of the 1993 World Series, where the Jays won it with a walk-off home run from Joe Carter. The 1993 win delivered — yes — back to back World Series victories for Toronto, and would mark the last time the Jays appeared in the MLB finals until this year.

One of the biggest celebrity Blue Jays fans is The Weeknd, and the singer has teamed up with merch site, Fanatics, on a limited-edition collection of T-shirts and hoodies that merge The Weeknd’s iconic XO logo alongside Blue Jays and World Series motifs. The drop will be available at the Blue Jays shop inside Rogers Centre, but fans can also pick up the pieces online at Fanatics.com.

One star who may be switching allegiances this year: Will Arnett. The Toronto-born actor was spotted in the stands at Dodgers Stadium last year, rooting for LA Will the Arrested Development star switch over to root root root for his home team this time around?

And then there’s the friendly rivalry that’s doubling down over on the set of The Voice. While coaches Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé are battling it out for their singers to win Season 28 of the competition series, they’re no doubt placing opposing bets on the World Series outcome too: Snoop Dogg is a noted Dodgers fan, while Canadian crooner Bublé is presumably cheering for the Jays.

This year’s World Series runs from October 24 to November 1 (if necessary) with all games airing on FOX. Stream the World Series online for free with a free trial to DirecTV here.
