Dua Lipa ended the Australian leg of her Radical Optimism world tour on a high note.

The pop star, 29, closed out her eight-show arena run with a stripped back duet of Big Jet Plane with Angus of Angus & Julia.

The crowd at Qudos Bank Arena joined in on every word of the sing-a-long, and no one was more thrilled than VIP audience member Charlize Theron, who belted out the lyrics with her eyes closed.

Charlize attended the Sydney show with her two daughters – 11-year-old Jackson and August, seven, on Saturday.

She dressed casually in a pair of blue ‘mom’ jeans, an oversized white T-shirt and a pair of white sneakers for the concert.

In a joyful meet-and-greet snap shared in Dua’s own ‘life Down Unda’ Instagram photo dump, the Grammy-winning hitmaker looked every inch the excited fan.

Dua grinned from ear-to-ear with the Hollywood star’s arm wrapped around her waist as they posed for a picture, mirroring her pose by slipping one hand into the back pocket of her hipster leather pants.

The Levitating hitmaker oozed pop star chic, even off stage, as she paired a low-cut white singlet with a back faux fur bolero jacket.

Charlize also documented her fun night out on Instagram.

Her carousel included a few snapshots from the concert, plus a photo of her and Dua, and one of her and her two daughters wearing matching white T-shirts and sunglasses.

She also included a blurry candid shot of her singing along to one of Dua’s songs with her eyes closed, and an equally blurry action shot of one of her daughters cartwheeling backstage.

‘Oh what a night! @dualipa ❤️,’ Charlize captioned post, to which the singer replied in a comment, ‘You’re the coolest ❤️❤️❤️❤️.’

Charlize adopted her eldest daughter, Jackson, in 2012, followed by August in 2015.

This isn’t the first time she has treated her kids to special mother-daughter outings.

Last year, she took August to the Pre-Fall 2024 New York Fashion Week show and both girls to Los Angeles to attend Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour.

‘It looked like I was being a good mom, but I was actually really happy,’ the actress joked to E! News.

‘I’m just trying to keep my head above water because they are smart and they are witty—and they are firecrackers,’ the actress said.

‘But they do not go, “Oh my god, mom, you’re so amazing,'” she added. ‘They’re like, “Excuse me, I need. I want.”‘

Aside from having an Oscar-winner for a mum, and the concert perks that entrails, Charlize said ‘they’re normal kids’.

Charlize is in Australia to film her upcoming Netflix film Apex in parts of Sydney and Western Sydney.

Directed by Baltasar Kormákur, who’s working from a script by Jeremy Robbins, Apex is a survival thriller for Netflix.

Along with Charlize, the movie also co-stars Eric Bana and Taron Egerton.

In Apex, Charlize plays a grieving a rock climber who retreats into the wilderness, only to find herself entangled in a perilous game with a serial killer in the wild, according to Screen Hub.

Deadline has described the premise of the screenplay as a mix of the documentary Free Solo (2018), which profiles rock climber Alex Honnold, meets the classic horror thriller The Silence Of The Lambs (1991), that starred Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins.

Along with leading the cast, Charlize is also producing Apex through her company, Secret Menu, alongside Dawn Olmstead, Beth Kono, and AJ Dix.

Some of the production partners also include Kormákur’s RVK Studios, Ian Bryce Productions, and Chernin Entertainment.
