The singer says that now she does not have such a problem.
Dorofeeva named her favorite song “Elsa’s Ocean” / photo instagram/nadyadorofeevaUkrainian singer and blogger Nadia Dorofeeeva (DOROFEEVA) said that at the beginning of the full-scale war, she was afraid to write lyrics in Ukrainian.
In the issue of “Artillery” dedicated to the band “Ocean Elsa”, the artist said that the songs of this group had a great influence on her. Dorofeeva likes the 2024 song “Answer” the most – she even wrote to Svyatoslav Vakarchuk that she and her husband cried while listening to it:
“In 2022, when the full-scale invasion began, I realized that I was completely switching to Ukrainian, and in my work as well. I had a wild fear because of the songs of “Elsa’s Ocean”. I was very afraid to write in Ukrainian, because our Ukrainian listeners pay a lot of attention to the text. For me personally, these songs set such a bar.”
According to the artist, then she accepted that she would not be able to cope with writing texts in Ukrainian, but now this fear has passed. Dorofeeva also admitted that sometimes she rereads the texts of “Ocean Elsa” for inspiration.
It will be recalled that in the documentary film “Ocean Elsa” the photos of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk with the mother of his children were shown for the first time.
