The national average of the number of passenger electric cars per 1000 population is only 4.5 units. This figure becomes the more indicative that a total of 1000 people in Ukraine should have about 267 different cars.
“This means that the proportion of Bev group cars in the common park is still scanty,” experts say.
Today, the fate of “train” in the park is estimated by only 1.6%. For comparison, in Norway, which is the world leader in EV saturation, this figure is more than 160 Bev group per 1000 people, while in Germany it is about 29 units. At the same time, Ukraine is ahead of Poland (2.6 units) and Bulgaria (2.8).
It should also be said that in Ukraine electric vehicles are distributed very unevenly. The highest rates can be seen in Kyiv and Lviv region, where the figures are 12.3 and 10.2 electric vehicles per 1000 people, respectively. In the third place is the Kyiv region (7.1). The reason lies in the rather high purchasing power of the residents of the capital, as well as proximity to Europe (in the case of residents of Lviv region).
The smallest rates are recorded in the regions that were most affected by the war. In particular, in Kherson (0.3), Donetsk (0.2) and Lugansk (0.1) regions.
In general, experts believe that today the segment of electric vehicles in Ukraine is only “learning to crawl”. He will only be able to stand on his feet only in the future.
